Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958)                                     

this was the first time when three Ganguly Brothers Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Anoop Kumar could be seen in a movie. This film released when Kishore Kumar’s popularity as an actor was at its peak. But still he was struggling to be accepted as a singer. By this time Kishore Kumar had already developed his signature style of yodeling. But his on-screen chemistry with Madhubala made this comedy film a Cult classic forever.

 Musafir (1957)

It was Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s first film as director. This film was an episodic story featuring a landlord, with his house and different types of tenants living there. Each of families living in that house had a unique story and one of those stories showed Kishore Kumar as a sole breadwinner of a family. He’s a very happy go lucky person who always tries to keep his sad sister Nirupa Roy happy, but when he doesn’t get a job, he faces huge dreadful circumstances. This film is a blend of serious drama and light-hearted comedy from Kishore Kumar’s Part. This might be the only movie where we can watch Kishore Kumar, Dilip Kumar and Suchitra Sen in the film.

Naukri (1954)

A socio-political drama which was directed by Bimal Roy. This movie featured Kishore Kumar in a rare serious performance for the first time. The story of the film showed the true phase of unemployment those times, and its consequential damage to the youth of society. There was no chance of comedy for kishore kumar in this movie, so he played a very reserved and very valuable role in this memorable movie. The song ‘Chota sa Ghar Hoga’, still haunts people for which kishore kumar had to record this song with a condition given by the music director of the movie, Salil Choudhury.
